Chris is a laid-back photographer, digital artist, educator, and content creator who loves capturing still life, nature, and portraits. He shares helpful tips and tutorials on his YouTube channel, Free Will Photos, and offers one-on-one or small-group lessons on photo editing and photography concepts.

 

In 2012, Chris got his first digital camera to document the growth of his kids' lives and started a fun project to create a detailed visual story for them to share with their own families someday. He dove into Lightroom, struggling at first, but after some trial and error, he finally figured it out and started getting the results he wanted.

 

Once he got the hang of things, his friends and family started asking him for editing tips and suggested he create a YouTube channel to help others learn. So, in Summer 2019, Chris launched his channel to make photo editing less intimidating and help photographers get their creative ideas out of their minds and into the world faster than he did.

Over the years Chris has used many photo editing software, but ON1 Photo RAW has been the primary software in his work for the past 5 years and counting. He loves to explore the creativity the software allows and he always tries to find new ways to develop looks in his images. Now Chris provides solutions to photographers looking to learn photo editing through online content.
